In this poor economy wouldn’t it be more profitable for the lottery if they made the odds of winning a grand prize better than the chances of stumbling over hen’s teeth?
Just a thought.
My guess is, no. Because what brings people to the game is winning big, not how likely they are to win. If they would play because of the likelihood, they woudn’t play at all. Doubling your chancess at 1:9,000,000 isn’t a significant increase. But winning $340,000,000 instead of $170,000,000 will get ME to buy an extra ticket.
